Absent/Removed Features in Windows 7
November 17, 2009 Software Review
Windows 7 is causing much debate amongst computer users worldwide.
Some people claim that Windows 7 is very similar to Windows Vista.
People may be scared to upgrade, due to not knowing what to expect. As with anything new there are always advantages and disadvantages. Some people may be scared to upgrade to Windows 7 due to being paranoid with regard to the disadvantages that may not be openly spoken about.
The truth of the matter is that Windows 7 is actually very similar to the features of Windows Vista. It may even feel like you are still using Windows Vista, until the point where the new Aero feature is seen or you see the taskbar. Some of the differences within the two Windows Operating systems pertain to the desktop.
I have found that I don’t miss the classic start menu, which I never really liked much anyway. What I do like about Windows 7 is that the usual Windows Sidebar has disappeared and you can rather make use of all the widgets in an outlined box. What is really cool, is that you are able to move these widgets all over your desktop.
I personally feel Windows 7 is much cleaner and faster. I was so sick of my desktop looking like a “dogs breakfast”, but now it actually looks decent and neat for a change. The entire look is much more professional and the Operating System as a whole is much more elegant than any of the other previous versions of Windows. I think that everybody out there should try Windows 7 for themselves and see the difference.
