Beware Of Malicious Hijack This Toolbar On Facebook

Facebook as we all know is the biggest social networking site to date. Cybercriminals and hackers are always taking 
advantage of this social networking site in order to achieve their malicious desired goals. They are once again taking advantage of innocent Facebook users expect this time they are doing it by the use of spam emails. All computer users who make use of Facebook need to be extremely careful when receiving emails which are from Facebook.
This particular email reads as follows:
“Hi dear Friend,
Now you can download the Facebook toolbar,
now it will be easier than ever to share and connect with your friends.
Thanks
The Facebook Team”
The truth of the matter is that this message does not come from the Facebook team, it comes from dangerous online criminals who have created an email which appears like an authentic message from Facebook. There is even a side bar where you can download this particular toolbar. If you click on the link you need to be warned that your computer will be infected with certain malware, which has been detected by Symantec software as a Trojan.Dropper.
If a user does in fact click on the download link which is provided in this email then it will download a file which goes by the name of”toolbar.exe”.You will notice an icon of a black ball which contains the words”"darkSector”written on it. These are telling signs that this is fake as when you identify any of this, you can know straight away that you are a victim of this very scam.
As usual it is imperative that all users be careful of any suspicious emails even ones which may appear authentic. It is strongly advised to never click on links or downloads in emails unless you are over one hundred per cent sure that the email comes from an authentic source. Due to the factor that the majority of people use Facebook this trick is being used to infect computers all over the globe, watch out for these signs and don’t become the next victim.
