Computer users opt for security and simplicity – aka Windows 7
Although Windows 7 is yet to be released, there has been much talk about its pending release – and the performance it
will offer to its users. Some may find that the hype around Windows 7 is overrated – but one can assume, based on the facts known about Windows 7 so far, that this operating system will be well worth the wait!
Windows 7, according to its makers, and the trial versions available at the moment, will receive fully functional and regular software updates. This is great in terms of computer security.
Although Windows XP has come a long way since its release, so it most certainly deserves some respect. However, when Windows XP or Windows Vista runs, it usually needs modifications in order to ensure the performance is at its optimal. Whether it be a performance tweak, or a reliability update, these two Operating Systems are just not good enough in this technological era – where the hackers and low-lives of the internet are increasing their knowledge and know-how at an alarming rate- thus resulting in an increase in the malware and malicious infections and applications out there – therefore it is so important to run an Operating System that takes this insurgence of PC threats seriously – and has built-in features to assist you as the user combat them.
It seems that testers of Windows 7 have yet to come across a problem within the Operating System, which is great news for us computer users.
Most beta products are always said to be buggy, and users should be careful, however Windows 7 beta/RC is unlike any other beta product.
Non-Microsoft product users that have tested out the Windows 7 trial version and Windows 7 RC (Release Candidate) are raving about the improvements happening on the Microsoft side, and there seems to be a general consensus that Microsoft knows what they are doing.
Windows 7 is set to run on virtually any machine, provided the user makes use of the correct specifications for each varying machine.
It seems that having a 1 GHz processor and 1 GB RAM is probably the best idea, when it comes to running Windows 7 effectively.
Windows 7 Starter is now being changed to take away the 3-application limit. The Starter Edition is said to be best suited for NetBooks.
The security of Windows 7 is brilliant, as in they have a built in action center. This action center will be able to notify you of security issues, hardware issues, system and performance issues, available Windows Updates, and much more.
Overall, Windows 7 users will have very little to complain about, which will ensure that Windows 7 remains a firm favorite for most computer users.
