Ethical Hackers Needed!
The cyber security expert, whose name is Ankit Fadia, likes to call himself an “ethical hacker”. He firmly thinks that
every place needs to have fully trained hands in order to ensure foolproof safety for their systems.Fadia may only be 24 but he has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Stanford University. He runs his own consulting company which is called e-secure.
According to Fadia:”In this hi-tech era when everyone is on one or the other social networking site and everything is available online, we cannot take internet security for granted. Even our politicians and celebrities are not safe on the internet and in some cases it can also pose a serious national security threat,”.
Fadia goes on to say:”Therefore we have to take steps by disseminating knowledge about these hackers and about ways to pre-empt them. In the 21st century, we surely need a strong workforce of ethical hackers and we cannot afford to ignore it at any cost.”
Fadia also claims:”Hackers are seeing India as an easy target because we are not paying much heed to this area as compared to other countries like China. In India, we have good cyber laws but normally people are not aware about them and easily fall victims to cyber attacks.”
Ethical hackers are great in that they work for a place and specialize in computer security as well as network systems. They then are hired at a company in order to find the vulnerabilities in a system. They make use of the same techniques that a hacker would use. The only difference is that he will turn his findings into positivity by finding solutions to these computer security problems and help the company in this regard.
It has been discovered that India is going to require at least 77,000 ethical hackers every single year. The industry of ethical hacking is growing at an alarming rate and there are very lucrative job opportunities for young people who want to join the field and make a career out of it. It was recently discovered according to various research that ethical hacking was actually estimated to be a 3.8 billion dollar industry with that being said ethical hacking may just be a good future career option for your son or daughter who isn’t sure what they want to do with their lives.
