How to Disable the Aero shake feature in Windows 7

There is a wonderful new feature in Windows 7 which is goes by the name: Aero Shake!!!!!! This wonderful new feature
enables you to minimize all inactive Windows simply by shaking the active Window. If you don’t make use of this feature you have the option of disabling it. In order to disable the area shake feature in its totality you can do one of two things. You can edit the registry keys or you can use the group policy editor, the choice is up to you. At the end of the day they key is to get it right whichever method that you choose.
Disabling aero shake using registry:
- Open windows registry editor
- Navigate to the following key: “HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Software | Policies | Microsoft | Windows”
- Create a new key and set the name of the key to “Explorer”.
- Create new and DWORD Value 32-bit and Set the name of the value to “NoWindowMinimizingShortcuts” and double click it.
- In the value data enter “1?.
- Click OK. you may need reboot your windows to see the effect.
Disabling aero shake using Group policy editor:
- Click the Start button, type gpedit.msc and press Enter.
- Within the Group Policy Editor, navigate to User Configuration | Administrative Templates | Desktop.
- Double click the Turn off Aero Shake window minimizing mouse gesture and click Enabled.
