How to Fix Annoying YouTube Jumpiness in Firefox

I hate it when I am sitting back relaxing and enjoying a YouTube video, youtube_logo then out of the blue it will start either jumping or lagging. This seriously starts to drive me mad and I am not sure exactly what to do. Sometimes when I am watching YouTube and please not that I am making use of my Mozilla Firefox browser, everything will just freeze constantly. I found out that this actually takes place due to the factor that the session restore is set up on default in order to save every single open tab exactly every ten minutes.

This will appear more noticeable to users who have many tabs open at the same time. The way to fix this problem that has worked for me is to fix the time period between each of the specific saves which are performed by the session restore feature.

By opening up: config in your Firefox address bar, then typing browser.sessionstore.interval in the filter box, you’ll see a value of 10000, which is in milliseconds. (Meaning your session is saved every 10 seconds.)

I actually changed this to 300000, or every 5 minutes, as I don’t have the urgent need for tab restoration. You could also change this to something else and it will work just as effectively.
