How to fix Desktop.ini Bug in Windows 7 Build 7057
Windows 7 users are downloading the latest leaked build of Windows 7 (7057.winmain.090305-2000).
Unluckily, the latest build comes with a bug that irritates the user after every boot because desktop.ini opens in Notepad. Follow the steps below to fix the desktop.ini bug of Windows 7 build 7057.
1. Go to C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStartMenuProgramsStartup folder. Here “C” is your Windows 7 OS drive. If you cannot see desktop.ini file, go to Tools>Folder Options>View, select “Show hidden files, folder and drive” and also un-check “Hide protected operating system files”.
2. Delete desktop.ini file.
3. Navigate to C:UsersUSERNAMEAppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsStartup.
4. Delete desktop.ini if present.
This should fix the bug!!
