How to quickly stave off and block Phishing and Adult Websites and Malware

It’s common knowledge that there are many different services and software that can effectively block access to adult 
websites, but many of them require a log of setting up and configuration in order to be truly effective. OpenDNS, developer of one of the more popular and free adult website blockers has released a user friendly version of their software called Familyshield, which hardly requires any configuration at all.
FamilyShield is able to work from the user’s router, which in effect means that every PC, PDA, Cell phone and video game connected to the Internet through the router will be effectively blocked from accessing any phishing or adult website. FamilyShield can also easily be installed on a single device.
Now with FamilyShield, configuring the router is really as simple as editing the DNS settings from the default to OpenDNS’ settings. In order to accomplish this, only a swapping of one line of numbers is required. That is really all there is to it. After the DNS settings are successfully in place, FamilyShield will block all known adult and phishing sites as well as a large amount of malware.
