Nexus Dockbar has Aero Effects
January 30, 2010 Software Review
Welcome people to Nexus Dockbar, which is a wonderful and simple dockbar for the Windows operating systems. If you are making use of either Vista or even the awesome new
Windows 7, you can now set it to make area effects. The wonderful news is that this is completely free and is seriously worth downloading and taking advantage of.
It is fascinating to know that the developer website actually provides the dock bar standalone, also with the win step extreme package. This is all so easy to use and install. This is the best ever and I completely love it. I have to be honest that this makes me every happy that I am a bit nerdy because the payoff is that I get to experience all these wonderful things like Nexus dockbar. Please try it and let me know what you think, I promise you that you are going to love it, maybe almost as much as I do.
You’ll find the Leopard-style skin under the Themes tab, you’ll need to use the Position tab to move the dock to the bottom of the screen, and the Effects tab gives you the option to enable the Vista Aero blur effect. Readers should note that the clock gadget will actually *tell* you the time—you can disable that by right-clicking on the clock—otherwise it’s a fairly jarring surprise if you aren’t expecting it. There’s a lot more features and settings, including shortcut keys and PNG support—you’ll have to dig around in the settings to find them all.
System Requirements:
Win 95, 98, SE, ME, NT4, 2000, XP 32/64 bit, 2003 Server, Vista 32/64 bit or Windows 7 32/64 bit.
