Second attack from Microsoft – Macs are just about aesthetics

April 26, 2009 Software Review

The second advertisement in Microsoft’s Laptop Hunters advertisements series implies that buying a Mac means pc_vs_mac_kids_v2_by_jasonh1234purchasing for brand and aesthetics.

Approximately two weeks ago, Microsoft kicked off the latest installment of its Windows Brand Campaign with a series it dubbed Laptop Hunters. Now the second advertisement introduces us to Giampaolo, who has a budge of under
$1 500 and wants a laptop that has portability, battery life and power.

Giampaolo goes shopping in a store selling both PCs and Macs, and Apple can’t deliver!! Watch the video – link above. If you want a better quality one, head over to Microsoft.com/Windows (Silverlight required).

Microsoft has finally launched a solid counterattack. It’s obvious by the reaction of those on the Internet that the ads have really struck a chord. The complaints are that Microsoft is being too aggressive.

We wonder what the next ad will talk about and are very eager to see what the campaign will bring out next.

Hello, I found this blog post while searching for help with Microsoft Silverlight. I’ve recently changed internet browser from Safari to Internet Explorer 7. Just recently I seem to have a problem with loading websites that use Microsoft Silverlight. Everytime I go on a website that requires Microsoft Silverlight, the page doesn’t load and I get a “npctrl.dll” error. I cannot seem to find out how to fix it. Any help getting Microsoft Silverlight to work is greatly appreciated! Thanks
