Using the Microsoft Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor
December 1, 2009 Software Review
I know that many people all over the world are deciding if they should or should not upgrade to Windows 7.If you are
making use of the Windows Vista operating system, then you can install and run something which is called: Microsoft Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, which will really help you. You may be fascinated to know that Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor is in its Beta stage.
My experience with making use of the Upgrader was very helpful. I don’t mean to burst anyone’s bubble, but in my honest opinion if you are using Windows Vista it may be a good idea to stick with it. I know that this debate continues everywhere and it is a difficult decision to make. You may want to consider looking at the advantages and disadvantages and then making a decision from there. That is what I did and then I made use of the Windows Upgrade Advisor as well.
If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here’s what it takes:
1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
Depending on resolution, video playback may require additional memory and advanced graphics hardware
Windows XP Mode requires an additional 1 GB of RAM, an additional 15 GB of available hard disk space, and a processor capable of hardware virtualization with Intel VT or AMD-V turned on.
Good luck with your adventures with the new Windows 7, at the end of the day, the decision is up to you. It is highly suggested to make use of the Windows Upgrade in order to make the correct decision.
