ViGlance and Windows 7
With ViGlance, a user can convert their Vanilla Taskbar into a Windows 7-like Superbar.
At the touch of a button, one can get the desired features that come associated with Windows 7.
For all those users who have been holding out on the official release of Windows 7, ViGlance’s solution with its Vanilla taskbar might just be the answer to their desires.
Once installed, the user’s taskbar will instantly look different; with the windows, each being grouped into single 48X48 icon sections. When the user hovers over each icon, a pop-up is shown; this informs the user as to which particular window is in use.
Each group pop-up is dynamically resized via ‘glide’ animation – an innovation synonymous and based loosely on the Aero Peek feature of Windows 7 – the use of which makes for seamless movement across the task bar.
Although ViGlance will obviously not boast all the features of the Windows 7 taskbar, it is a great ‘tweak’ for those individuals seeking to have the similar features as Windows 7.
