Windows Sensors for Windows 7
January 30, 2009 Windows 7 Tips
There are some assumptions that one of the features or primary components of Microsoft’s Windows 7 will be
Windows Sensors, which may be the next version of Plug and Play. This is a way for Windows to automatically “sense” what kinds of peripherals or devices can/should be automatically connected and synced with the operating system.
Windows Sensors might also be the main key to home-automation systems, and Windows 7 might be the control hub for users’ home devices, i.e. home appliance, alarm systems, security systems and other “sensors”.
There a lot of questions still remaining about what Microsoft intends to do with their new Windows 7 operating system, much speculation and secrecy still surrounds the idea of Windows Sensors, and what it might mean for the new personification of the Windows OS.
